Attendance Policy We expect regular attendance from our students and our faculty. In case of an emergency, when a student can not attend a given lesson, parents are requested to notify the office at least 1 day before the lesson, explaining that the child will be absent and giving the reason for the absence.
Lesson Make-Up Policy Teachers are required to make up lessons they canceled. Teachers are not required to make up lessons missed by the students. However, if a student is absent from the lesson for a valid reason, we request that the teacher to make up the missed lesson, we accommodate to make up the lesson up to 2 missed lessons in one semester.
Financial Policy Payment of Tuition: In all the programs offered at Language Beans the tuition and fees are charged within the first 2 weeks of each semester. If the installment payment is not received on time we will charge a late payment fee. Instruction may be withheld until the installment is paid. Refunds and Withdrawals: Students register for the semester, if within the first two weeks of the semester a family encounters an emergency which requires withdrawing the child from the School, the School will make a tuition refund on a pro-rated basis. TUITION IS NON-REFUNDABLE AFTER THE SECOND WEEK OF THE SEMESTER.

What should I prepare for my children before they go to school? You only need to prepare snacks for your children if they attend our Fun with Mandarin Morning classes (2 hours 15 minutes). Children in this class will have a 15-20 minutes for snack time.
Do children's caregiversr need to be in the class with them? It depends on the class children take. Children in Music and Mandarin class aged from 6 months to 3 years old, that is why parents / caregivers are strongly encouraged to be in the class with their children. Both children and caregivers can enjoy the bounding time while learning Mandarin in a musical way!
How do I choose between group lessons or private lessons? Group lessons and private lessons are both beneficial for students in different ways. In a group lesson setting, students will not only learn from the teachers but also from each other. Group lessons help to develop students' language through playing, creative movements, singing, listening…etc. In private lessons, students receive individualized attention from their master teacher and learn all the linguistic elements in depth.
How old does my child has to be to sign up for the lessons? We believe that nurturing a child's linguistic potential should start at an early age. We provide group lessons for 2 or 3 year olds to learn language concepts, develop gross and fine motor skills with creative movements, and expand their linguistic knowledge. We believe that every child has linguistic aptitude however everyone is different in personality, maturity..etc., so please do not hesitate to come in and do atrial lesson, we will then be able to set up the class that suits your child the best.
What happens if I have to cancel one of the classes? If you are unable to attend for any reason, please contact us at least 24 hours before your class. We will schedule a make-up lesson for you! We will accommodate up to 2 missing lessons in one semester.
